Answers

Common questions

What is Tennanova?

Tennanova is a business funding comparison service for Australian small and medium-sized businesses (SMBs). Its Funding Check shows which funding structures, such as working capital, a line of credit, a business loan or a refinance, may be worth exploring before a business applies. Tennanova is not a lender and does not provide credit.

Does Tennanova provide business loans?

No. Tennanova does not provide credit. It helps businesses understand potential commercial funding pathways before they apply.

Will checking my options affect my credit score?

The Tennanova Funding Check does not involve a credit enquiry. It does not ask for the personal details a credit check requires, and nothing is sent to a credit reporting body. If you choose to go further with a formal application, lenders may carry out credit checks as part of their assessment. This is explained before you commit.

Am I guaranteed funding?

No. Funding is subject to lender assessment, eligibility and applicable criteria. The Funding Check summary is general information based on your answers, not an approval or an offer.

Why do different lenders offer different amounts?

Each lender has its own credit appetite: the industries, trading histories and risk it is set up to fund. Lenders also size facilities differently against turnover, time trading, existing commitments, security and repayment conduct. The same business can see different outcomes from different lenders, or none.

What happens after the Funding Check?

You see an indicative guide to the amount, term and pricing businesses like yours are commonly considered for, plus the funding structures that may be worth exploring, all based on what you told us. It is not an offer. If you want to take it further, you can apply through our secure portal, where the formal application and supporting documents are handled, and your details are carried across so you don't retype them. We may also contact you using the details you provided.

Do I need to upload bank statements?

Not during the Funding Check. If you choose to apply, supporting financial documents such as business bank statements may be requested through the secure portal.

Who is behind Tennanova?

Tennanova is built by commercial finance brokers who work with Australian businesses and a panel of lenders.

How much funding can I seek?

We generally work with requests of $10,000–$500,000. The amount available to a particular business depends on lender assessment, turnover, trading history, security and other criteria.
