A converter built for financial records, not generic PDFs

Copying text from a PDF rarely produces a useful ledger. Tennanova interprets the statement as a financial document, preserves the fields that matter, and shows where the extracted data needs attention.

Structured transaction columns

Dates, descriptions, debits, credits, signed amounts, and available balances are normalized into a consistent table. The output is easier to filter, review, and import than pasted PDF text.

Visible quality checks

The result includes reconciliation status and row-level review signals. If the arithmetic does not agree with the balances printed on the statement, Tennanova tells you instead of hiding the difference.

Short-lived document handling

The original PDF is deleted from private storage immediately after OCR. Extracted results are encrypted, tied to your verified account, and automatically expire after two hours.

Workflow

From PDF bank statement to clean export

  1. 01

    Upload your PDF

Sign in with a verified account, complete the security check, and choose one statement containing a single account. PDFs can contain up to 25 pages and be up to 20 MB.

  2. 02

    Review the extraction

Tennanova identifies transaction rows, normalizes the data, and checks the available balance arithmetic. Review any warning and edit a row when the statement and extraction differ.

  3. 03

    Download CSV or Excel

Export the reviewed result as a standards-friendly CSV or a formatted Excel workbook. Your browser creates the final files from the authorised temporary result.

Answers

Frequently asked questions

What does a bank statement converter do?

A bank statement converter reads transaction rows from a PDF and restructures them into spreadsheet columns. Tennanova extracts dates, descriptions, debits, credits, amounts, and available running balances, then prepares CSV and Excel downloads.

Can I convert a scanned bank statement?

Tennanova can read many text-based and scanned PDF statements, but scan quality matters. Straight, clear pages exported directly by your bank give the best result. Photos, handwriting, damaged pages, and password-protected PDFs may not convert reliably.

Does Tennanova support every bank?

Tennanova is designed around transaction tables rather than a fixed list of institutions, so it can work across many layouts. Bank formats vary and no converter can guarantee every statement. You can use the free first conversion to test your document and review the result.

How is the conversion checked?

When the statement includes enough balance information, Tennanova recalculates the movement from opening balance through credits and debits to closing balance. It also checks available row balances and flags differences for review.

How long is my statement stored?

The source PDF is held briefly in private storage and deleted immediately after OCR. Successful extracted results become inaccessible after two hours and are then removed. Download the CSV or Excel file promptly.
